House Sitting · $156 / night

Overnight in your home, so your pets never feel left.

The best boarding facility in the world is still a strange room with strange smells. House sitting keeps everything they know — same bed, same bowl, same evening walk — and just changes who's pouring the kibble.

Hi, I'm Sarah. When you book a house sit with me, here's what actually happens.

I show up the day you leave (or the night before, if you'd like the handoff to feel less rushed) and we walk through your house together. I take notes — written notes, on paper. I want to know where the spare leash lives, which window your cat likes to nap in at 4pm, what your dog does when the trash truck comes by. I ask about meds and feeding times and the one thing they're scared of and the one thing they love. By the time you leave, I know your pets a little, and your house entirely.

Then I move in. I sleep there. I keep their routine identical to yours — same morning walk, same dinner time, same nighttime cuddle on the couch. I send you a photo and a short note every day, sometimes twice if something fun happens. I'm not on my phone the whole time, but I am on yours.

Who I'm a good fit for

If your pet is reactive, anxious, senior, on medication, recovering from surgery, or simply a creature of habit — house sitting with someone trained at Greenhill Humane Society and certified through Fear Free is going to feel different than dropping them at a kennel. The house stays calm. The schedule stays consistent. Your pet stays themselves.

Where I serve

House sitting in Eugene, Springfield, Veneta, Cottage Grove, Junction City, Creswell — and the rest of Lane County within about 25 miles of Veneta. Farther out, just call and ask.

Often asked

Will you stay overnight every night? Yes. That's the whole point. I sleep in your home, in whatever spot you tell me to (couch, guest room, wherever).

Can I have someone else stop by during the day? Absolutely. Friends, family, a neighbor — I just want to know who has access.

Do you do meet-and-greets? Always. Free, before any first booking. Usually 30 minutes at your home.

How far in advance should I book? Two weeks is comfortable for normal travel. Holidays fill 2–3 months out.
