Pet care in Veneta — by your neighbor.
I live here. Tilly and Claude live here. If you're in Veneta, I am almost always your closest sitter — sometimes a five-minute drive, sometimes ten.
Veneta is home. I'm in town off Territorial Highway, walking distance from Kirk Park and a short drive from Fern Ridge Reservoir. My own dog, Tilly, knows every loop in the neighborhood by heart. So if you live in Veneta, you're getting the most local sitter you'll find — not someone driving in from Eugene.
Where I cover in Veneta
- The Hwy 126 corridor through downtown
- Territorial Highway — north and south
- Elmira and the rest of Fern Ridge
- Properties out toward Crow, Lorane, and Noti by appointment
- The Fern Ridge / Long Tom rural pockets — yes, the ones with goats and chickens too
What people in Veneta usually want
Lots of acreage out here — properties with multiple animals, a couple of farm dogs, sometimes chickens or a goat or two. House sitting tends to be the most popular call: I stay overnight, do the morning chicken-letting-out, evening tucking-in, and keep the rest of the household running normally.
For folks closer to downtown Veneta, drop-in visits and standing weekly walks are common — especially for working families who want a midday break for their dog while they're commuting to Eugene or Springfield.
Where Tilly and I walk
Kirk Park is the easy default — flat, shaded, manageable for senior dogs. Fern Ridge for longer outings (when reservoir levels and goose nesting permit). The quieter neighborhood streets off Territorial when reactive dogs need a low-stimulus route.
Driving from Veneta
If you're not in Veneta but you're in Lane County, I drive — Eugene is 20 minutes east, Junction City about 25 minutes northeast, Cottage Grove an hour southeast. I'm based here but I cover the county.
For meet-and-greets in Veneta, I usually offer same-week — text or call me and we'll set it up.
