Pet care across the river, in Springfield.
A lot of pet sitters in this area cover Eugene and forget Springfield exists. I don't. Cross the river, same care.
Springfield is its own town with its own rhythm — and plenty of pets needing care. I'm there often for house sits, drop-ins, and standing weekly walks.
Springfield neighborhoods I cover
- Thurston — east Springfield, family neighborhoods, lots of yards
- Gateway — close to Riverbend Hospital, good for working medical staff
- Mohawk — north of downtown, older homes, quieter streets
- Downtown Springfield — Main Street and around
- Glenwood — between Springfield and Eugene, often overlooked
- Jasper and the eastern edge of town by appointment
Springfield parks and walking spots
- Willamalane Park and the Willamalane park system overall
- Dorris Ranch — historic filbert orchard, walkable trails, peaceful
- Island Park — riverside, flat, accessible for senior dogs
- Thurston Hills Natural Area — for confident dogs on longer adventures
- Clearwater Park — out by the river, quieter than the bigger spots
What Springfield clients usually book
A lot of medical professionals and Riverbend staff use me for standing weekly walks — they work long shifts and want a real midday break for their dog. Drop-in cat care is common in the older Mohawk and downtown neighborhoods. House sitting for vacations is constant.
Drive time from Veneta
Springfield is about 25 minutes from Veneta off the Beltline. For standing weekly slots in Thurston (east end), I tend to start a little earlier in the day to keep the schedule consistent.
If you're in Springfield and you're worried about finding a sitter who'll actually drive over the river — call me. I will.
